Project Overview
This project encompasses the comprehensive development of a new or renovated school playground area, integrating both play structures and artificial turf surfacing. As the general contractor, we will manage all phases, beginning with initial site assessment and design collaboration to ensure the playground layout and equipment selection meet the school’s needs and safety standards. Our responsibilities include site preparation, which may involve excavation, grading, and the installation of proper drainage systems. We will then oversee the installation of the chosen play structures, ensuring they are securely anchored and meet all relevant safety regulations.
Simultaneously, we will manage the installation of the artificial turf system. This involves preparing the sub-base, installing shock-absorbing underlayment if required, and expertly laying and seaming the artificial turf to create a durable, safe, and low-maintenance play surface. Our team will coordinate all necessary subcontractors, such as playground equipment installers and turf specialists, ensuring seamless integration and adherence to project timelines and budgets. The final outcome will be a vibrant, accessible, and safe play environment that enhances the school’s facilities and provides students with an exceptional outdoor recreational space.

When installing the playground equipment we had to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), several key requirements must be met.
Material Selection
Determined what type of turf and underlying material was used to handle the wear and tear and drainage for the turf
Drainage
Made sure that there were drains in each specific area so the turf and playground area stayed dry after a rain
Ground Leveling
Leveled the playground and surrounding area to keep the area safe and installing additional grass
